What are you looking forward to?

“I’m looking forward to doing School of Rock because I’m very excited to perform the show we’ve been working so hard on. I play a little gay kid named Billy. I auditioned for the lead role and I was given the little kid, but he’s still got a lot of fun lines. I like theater because it’s fun doing the shows but it’s also that you get a sense of bonding with these people in [CET] because you’re with them for like three hours after school.”

“I’m looking forward to a race I’m going to. This is going to be my first time racing cars, and it’s going to be in Florida against the big boys. I love everything about racing; I love the speed, the adrenaline, and just the whole community. Everyone is so welcoming, and it’s a lovely time. I’m excited to be in Florida because of the warmth first of all, and I’m going to be glad to be out of the winter. Second of all, it’s just a big step up to what I’m doing right now.”

“My music teacher from music camp just emailed me inviting me to a music festival in March. I get to perform on the piano for 30 minutes in a really nice concert hall. This is the second time I’ve been to the [New England Music Camp] and last year I also got an invitation to another festival to perform for a shorter amount of time. But this is a much bigger deal to me because this would be the longest time I’ve ever played especially in a professional setting. Having this opportunity is really important for my growth as a pianist. I am excited as of now, but I’m sure in the coming months I’ll become more nervous. After I’ll be glad I did it, though. Hopefully someday I get to perform as a career. I mean it’s super competitive of an industry and I’m not sure what career I want to go into for music, but I just know I want to share it with people and I hope I get to do that.”

“I’m looking forward to a break I’m having with my dad in three to four weeks. I’m traveling with him somewhere near Colorado for a skiing trip. We’re getting there by plane, and it’s kind of a father-son bonding experience. I’m super excited and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. We’re going to a resort there so there’ll be a lot of activities. I think we’re staying there for about three days. This week I’m excited for the weekend; I’m planning on watching the Michigan football game and it’s the start of the basketball season. I’m going to watch the football game on T.V. with my family and we’re going to be rooting for Michigan.”

“I’m looking forward to summer vacation, especially traveling. I know my family’s going to go to some National Parks this summer, we just haven’t decided which ones. I like hiking and backpacking, and our family hasn’t done a whole backpacking trip together yet and that’s something I’m looking forward to doing. Me and my other brothers have been doing that this past summer and my parents have done it in the past. [I like traveling with my family] because eating at new restaurants across the country is really fun; we all like eating different things so we get to try all these different foods.”
